Tingwei Liang is an artist from China. His work involves a series of installation, photography, water colour and oil painting.
In the monkey series, Tingwei tries to create a special atmosphere between the viewer and the monkeys. The meaning behind the work goes back to the tree of life in Darwinian evolution. Monkeys are the most human-like primate creatures. In such a similar but different situation, the viewing angle and viewing attitude of the audience as a higher animal is actually Tingwei's attempt to present it. Behind the work is the disdain for hierarchies and racism, and the fear of the future intelligent world in the post-tech era.
